Meet Charlie!

Charlie is 11 years old and will occasionally come to the office with a goal of putting a smile on your face and/or seeking a warm lap where he can receive plenty of affection.

Dr. Kellye Hudson is a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, and is licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) as well as a marriage and family therapist. Dr. Hudson received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2014 from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1998 from Carson Newman University. She has worked in the mental health field since 1998 in both the private and community mental health sectors. She enjoys working with individuals across the life span and has extensive experience in treating mood and anxiety disorders, psychosis, trauma-related disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, and other behavioral health disorders.

Dr. Hudson strives to be inclusive and connect with her patients while providing quality and evidence-based treatment. She embraces a holistic approach to treatment, provides education on healthy choices in life that extends beyond medication, and encourages her patients to embrace the multitude of pathways to wellness. Dr. Hudson also serves on the American Psychological Association Interdisciplinary Training Advisory Council with the Minority Fellowship Program, is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Hudson also serves as a board member for the Resilience Wellness Association.

In her spare time, Dr. Hudson enjoys spending time with her spouse and their pets, traveling, hiking, and biking.
