I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned a Master of Science in Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2007. I have experience in working with children, adolescents, and adults in residential and outpatient community mental health and private settings with over 15 years of experience. My current focus is on adults who are experiencing a range of mental health concerns, life challenges, compassion fatigue, and maternal mental health. Utilizing techniques including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and informed by Internal Family Systems, I partner with people to move toward wellness. Whether someone is experiencing depression, anxiety, the effects of traumatic events or adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), other mood problems, or life’s many stressors, I can compassionately guide individuals toward their personal values. I have training and certification through Postpartum Support International in working with people who give birth (and partners!) who are experiencing postpartum mood or anxiety problems, and previously led a support group for moms. Rooted in my prior work with individuals experiencing a mental health crisis, I’m also passionate about serving other helpers such as healthcare workers, spiritual leaders, law enforcement officers, and mental health professionals. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes with my family, running, and growing food. I’m interested in the ways that environment, food, cooking, and health collide.
